Tip: If you want to change the quantity of a certain type of ticket available for purchase, make sure to change the Quantity Available for that ticket type, not the Event Capacity. The difference between the two is explained here.
To change the Quantity Available for a particular ticket type, from the My Events page, click on Edit under Quick Links to the right of the name of your event. This will take you to the Edit page for your event.

In Step 2: Add Ticket Information, click on the name of the ticket type (in blue) whose quantity available you'd like to change.

Note: If you have created only one ticket type for this event, erase any number entered into the Event Capacity field, as it is redundant in this case, and the Event Capacity would override any changes you make to the Quantity Available of a particular ticket type. Event Capacity is explained in more detail at the end of this tutorial.
In the Edit Ticket window, change the Quantity Available for this ticket type. Click Save to save your changes. The quantity of this type of ticket is now updated.

After you have changed the quantity available of a ticket type and saved your changes, you will see this change reflected in the Status box and Sales By Ticket Type box in the Event Summary on the Manage page for your event.

Note: Event Capacity sets the maximum number of tickets across all ticket types that can be sold for this event. This feature lets you create two or more ticket types--each with its own quantity available--and allows you to cap the total number of tickets sold for the event across all ticket types.
Event Capacity will override any number that you have entered for the Quantity Available of a particular ticket type. Event Capacity is accessed in Step 2: Add Ticket Information on the Edit page for your event.

As an example, let's say you have a venue with a total capacity of 100 people. You're selling two ticket types--General Admission and VIP--and don't care about the mix of ticket types that you sell, as long as you don't sell more than 100 total tickets. In this case, you'd want to set the Quantity Available for each ticket type to 100, and then also set the Event Capacity to 100.

Note: You may have noticed that when editing your event, you’re able to set a Ticket Quantity and an Event Capacity. The difference between the two is explained here.
The Event Capacity will override any number that you have entered for the Ticket Quantity of a particular ticket type. Both the Event Capacity and Ticket Quantity fields can be accessed in Step 2: Create Tickets on the Event Details page for your event.
To get started, log in to your Eventbrite account and click My Events at the top of the screen. Then, click on Edit to the right of your event’s name.

To update the Ticket Quantity, go to Step 2: Create Tickets, click into the Ticket Quantity box to the right of the Ticket Name that you’re trying to update and enter the new quantity of tickets available. Remember to Save your changes.

Note: If you’ve created only one ticket type for this event, the number entered in the Ticket Quantity field will automatically appear in the Event Capacity field. As more ticket types are created, the ticket quantities will add together and the total will update in the Event Capacity field.
To edit the Event Capacity, click into the Event Capacity box and enter the maximum number of tickets that you’re able to sell to your event. After you’ve entered the number, you’ll want to click out of the field so that the entry sticks. Click to save your changes.
Once you do this, you’ll see that an Edit link to the right of the Event Capacity field appears. You can always click on this while your event is live to update the Event Capacity for your event.
After you've changed the quantity available of a ticket type and saved your changes, you'll see this change reflected in the Status box and Sales By Ticket Type box in the Event Summary on the Manage page for your event.

Tip: Here's an example of when the Event Capacity box can help you! Let's say you have a venue with a total capacity of 100 people. You're selling two ticket types--General Admission and VIP--and don't care about the mix of ticket types that you sell, as long as you don't sell more than 100 total tickets. In this case, you'd want to set the Quantity Available for each ticket type to 100, and then also set the Event Capacity to 100.
