Group tickets and discounts

Updated: Jul 01, 2014

  • Offer a discount for buying in quantity
  • Boost sales through pricing incentives

After logging in and creating an event, access the menu at the top of the page that says your name and select My Events. Then click on Edit to the right of your event's name.

In Step 2: Create Tickets, enter the Ticket name (describing what your attendees are ordering), Quantity available, and Price in the appropriate fields. If you’ve already created tickets, you’ll want to add a new ticket type click on one of the buttons in the bottom left under Ticket name.

Note: Keep in mind that the price you set for your ticket will be multiplied by the number of tickets in the group or package, to equal the total price for that group or package.

E.g.: If a ticket is regularly priced at $10--so, regularly $50 for five tickets--and you'd like to give a 50% discount to make the price for 5 tickets total to $25, you'll want to divide $25 by 5. This comes to $5 per ticket. This means you'll want to set the price of the ticket to $5.

Now, you’ll want to click on the gear icon under Actions so you can set the number of tickets included in the package.

Enter the number of tickets included in the package in both the Minimum and Maximum fields for the Tickets allowed per order. Click Save at the top right of the page to save your changes.

Tip: It may be helpful to utilize the Ticket description box to clearly identify the savings that your attendees are receiving or to include any other relevant information about that particular ticket type. Make sure the box next to Show ticket description on event page is checked if you want the description to automatically appear below the name of your ticket type on your event page.

Congrats! You're now ready to accept group registrations! If you'd like to collect information for each attendee on an order, rather than for just the ticket buyer, you can learn how to do so here. Below are some examples of what your registration and order pages will look like with a group ticket option.
